Connection
Meaningful relationships and welcoming spaces where women feel seen and supported.
About
AAWA is a Chicago-based volunteer nonprofit dedicated to empowering Asian American women through connection, education, wellness, leadership, culture, and community service.
Who We Are
Founded 2021
The Asian American Women's Association was founded in 2021 to create a supportive platform for Asian American women and families. AAWA brings together women from diverse personal and professional backgrounds to learn, connect, serve, and grow.
Founding Spirit
AAWA grew from years of community gatherings, cultural programs, family events, and women-led initiatives that brought people together with warmth, joy, and purpose. We believe community is built through real relationships, shared experiences, and the simple but powerful feeling of being welcomed.
AAWA carries this spirit forward by creating spaces where Asian American women and families can connect, learn, support one another, and contribute to a stronger community.

AAWA envisions a community where Asian American women are connected, supported, and empowered to lead meaningful lives and contribute confidently to society.
